Giorgio Armani launches first stores to tap Asian demand

Italian fashion firm, Giorgio Armani SpA announced that, it has launched its first stores in Mongolia and Vietnam, with an eye to tap the Asian demands.

Emporia Armani boutiques were launched in Ulan Bator, Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and Mongolia. Armani already had a café operating in Vietnam. 

Practically every nation is eagerly waiting and wanting to have the Italian design and fashion head, Giorgio Armani in to their markets, revealed a company’s founding president and chief executive officer. 

Armani too on the other hand, wants to expand its geographic sources of revenues after profits declined by 28 percent last year, owing to economic downturn in North America and Japan.

Giorgio Armani creates Grammy look for Lady Gaga

Giorgio Armani is pleased to announce a unique collaboration with the artist Lady Gaga, who Sunday, January 31st, walked her very first red carpet at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. Throughout the evening, Lady Gaga, winner of two Grammy Awards, dressed exclusively in Giorgio Armani Privé.

Giorgio Armani created a variety of special pieces for Lady Gaga for both the evening's ceremony and for her special live stage performance.

Giorgio Armani says, "We hear Lady Gaga's music everywhere we go. It is like a soundtrack of our times. In addition to her formidable songwriting skills, she is a modern fashion phenomenon."

Sharing Mr. Armani's enthusiasm, Lady Gaga adds, "I am honored to be wearing Armani this evening. The series of pieces Mr. Armani created for me are truly iconic; they represent not only beautiful fashion, but my spirit and essence as an artist. Mr. Armani is a fashion legend, and tonight would not have been the same without his touch, and his wonderful team."

Megan Fox - New Face For Emporio Armani Campaign

Giorgio Armani is pleased to announce that actress Megan Fox will be the new official worldwide face for Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans for 2010.

The soon-to-be revealed campaigns were shot by renowned fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott this last weekend in Los Angeles.

Megan Fox, star of the $1.5 billion Transformer's film franchise, is currently starring in Jennifer's Body for Twentieth Century Fox from the Academy Award winning writer Diablo Cody. She is also starring in the upcoming Warner Brothers feature, Jonah Hex in which she stars opposite Josh Brolin and John Malkovich and the dramatic feature film Passion Play, a period drama starring opposite Academy Award nominee Mickey Rourke.

Fox will also reprise her role of "Mikaela" in Transformer's 3: Revenge of the Fallen slated to begin production in 2010.
