Caroline Flack is face of Apricot’s denim range

British TV presenter Caroline Louise Flack, who has co-presented the eighth series of ‘The Xtra Factor’, is the face of Apricot’s new Transformer range of denim.
Caroline is best known for presenting ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Now!’ from 2008 to 2010.
Apricot’s new innovative range of jeans comes in Skinny, Bootcut and Skinny Flare styles, which are especially designed to flatter and flaunt natural curves of the legs. All styles are made from ultra-stretch fabrics that take the shape of the legs as soon as they are worn.
Each of the three styles is available in three fits – Peachy, Electric and Juicy – designed to suit different body shapes. Peachy Fit is low cut at the top, Electric Fit is still lower, while Juicy Fit has slightly higher cut.
These different styles and fits will help shoppers to ‘mix and match’ and find out the jeans that look good on them.

For the ninth dazzling year, SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS, the premium brand for the finest crystal elements manufactured by Swarovski, and Victoria’s Secret, the company with a passion for fabulouslingeries, have partnered on the show stopping Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
The collaboration between the two global brands is proof that when it comes to Swarovski, there is virtually no limit to creative possibilities. This year, two million SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS embellished one-of-a-kind creations for The Victoria’s Secret Fashion show including iconic Angel wings, exquisite custom-made lingerie, designer couture pieces, shoes and even stockings.
SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS was seen on six key looks from designer Jenny Manik Mercian, who created an awe-inspiring masterpiece as well as glistening footwear by Giuseppe Zanotti, encrusted with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS, creating head-to-toe looks.
Reinhard Mackinger, executive vice president for Swarovski North America is also inspired by the collaboration. “Both brands stand for creativity, inspiration, and complement each other in the creation of new products as well as lend an aspirational appeal to the customer. We are thrilled to continue expanding our collaboration to reach not only the Fashion Show viewer but the consumer as well.”
Another stunning display of creativity and craftsmanship was evident in the matador inspired piece, as seen on model Bregke Heinen. Also created by Manik Mercian, the costume was part of the Passion theme.
A key highlight of the show included the stunning Passion Play Fan Wings by Jenny Manik Mercian made over five months with approximately 105,000 SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS and weighing 22 pounds. The 23 carat gold-plated antique copper Passion Play Fan Wings were inspired by a jewel box of luxurious, opulent gem tones making each wing distinctive and dramatic on its own.
Stunning combinations of poppy oranges and reds mixed with fuchsias, vibrant turquoise, royal blue and chartreuse are contrasted with shocking yellows and dazzling hues of metallic gold. Romance, desire and sensuality are captured in the luxurious detail of lace, brocades, embroidery and beading reminiscent of Haute Couture.

How does she do it? After wowing the crowds at Trooping the Colour, Kate is surprise guest at wedding of her ‘royal matchmaker’
The man credited with saving Prince William and Kate’s romance got a surprise guest at his own wedding today – the Duchess of Cambridge.

The pair chatted with friends, villagers and wedding guests outside St Michael and All Angels Church in Lambourn, near Hungerford in Berkshire, before the ceremony began.
According to onlookers, the future Queen drove herself to the wedding and had apparently changed into a new outfit since her appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, where she wore a fitted white coat.

Introducing Kelly Love

banner Introducing Kelly Love
Song Of The Rainbird, the fall 2011 collection from Australian-born, London-based designer Kelly Love, is as dreamy as the title suggests. Teeming with intricate details and textures such as sand-washed silk, hand-printed prints, painted fur, felted wool, and lightweight suede, the collections pays homage to the silhouettes of the 1960s but is not without a modern charm. Key pieces include (from left to right): the Dance of the Peacock dress, a silky cocktail dress with a pretty print that instantly evokes thoughts of Miu Miu’s infamous cat print; the Little Bird Dress, an electric violet shift; and, the Giselle dress, a slinky boho sheath that would look right at home on Sienna Miller. banner

Style Spy: Summer Days

Style Spy: Summer Days

Summer can be tricky when it comes to fashion. On the one hand, you probably have a social calendar jam-packed with events, and accordingly, you need a slew of new outfits. On the other hand, who wants to think about fashion when you could be having fun in the sun? If this fashion fix sounds familiar, you will be pleased to know that today’s Style Spy story is here to help! Yes, dear readers, today we have the scoop on what four of our favorite stylish stars—specifically, Nicole Richie, Kate Bosworth, Liv Tyler, and Sienna Miller—are wearing this summer and how they are wearing it! So, if you are ready for a fresh batch of summer outfit inspiration, read on and make sure to take notes as you will find plenty of ideas in today’s Style Spy story!

Nicole Richie
A floral dress is the perfect piece for summer, which is why we love this look from Nicole Richie. Nicole was spotted out and about in West Hollywood last week wearing a floral dress, a studded denim vest, and chunky black wedges. By pairing her dress with tougher elements—namely, the vest and wedges—Nicole has toned down the femininity of the dress and stayed true to her boho-meets-rocker aesthetic. To put together an equally cute look, pick up Tinley Road’s Floral Button Front Dress ($34.99) or Angel Eye’s Floral Dress ($34.48) and pair it with Topshop’s Sleeveless Denim Cropped Jacket ($65) and House of Harlow 1960′s Veronika Wedges ($233).
Kate Bosworth
It is no secret that colored denim is having a major style moment this summer, so make sure you take style notes from Kate Bosworth. Kate was spotted out and about in Silver Lake earlier this month wearing pink denim shorts, a lightweight sweater, and suede ankle boots. We love the cool yet casual vibe of this outfit—it would look equally at home on the beach, on a vacation, or at the flea market. Inspired? Pick up Siwy’s Camilla Cutoff Shorts ($152) or J Brand’s Cut Off Denim Shorts ($143) and pair them with Free People’s Laguna Coast Pullover ($88). Then, simply add Loeffler Randall’s Suede Ankle Boots ($395) and you are all set!
Liv Tyler
Ever-stylish actress Liv Tyler was recently spotted out and about in New York City wearing a silk print dress by DKNY and red Christian Louboutin peep-toes. We love this look for two reasons. Firstly, it is chic and sophisticated, which makes it perfect for a classy cocktail party or stylish summer event. Secondly, it is decidedly easy to put together, which is a must in summer! To try this look for yourself, pick up Paul & Joe’s Polka Dot Silk Dress ($535) or MM Couture’s Polka Dot Dress ($88) and pair it with Christian Louboutin’s Devalavi 120 Suede Peep-Toes ($705) or Nine West’s Zebedee Peep-Toe Platforms ($48.86).
Sienna Miller
Sienna Miller is blessed with the innate ability to look stylish at every turn and the ensemble she put together for the French Open earlier this month—specifically, a cream shift dress, studded heels, and a floppy hat—is no exception. Although Sienna dressed up for the occasion, she gave the ensemble her own personal twist by adding a floppy hat that stays true to her boho roots. The result? A très chic ensemble! If you love this look, pick up Nanette Lepore’s Spun Around Shift Dress ($167) or ASOS’s Shift Dress ($77.58) and then pair it with Jean-Michel Cazabat’s Chaka T-Strap Sandals ($207). To finish, add Pins & Needles’s Straw Floppy Hat ($29).

Colorful Boho Bags

Mini Trend: Colorful Boho Bags
Here at Mama’s A Rolling Stone, the arrival of summer means taking a relaxed, easygoing approach to fashion, which is why the new mini-trend that has been emerging in Hollywood—colorful boho bags—is so timely! Top tastemakers like Rachel Bilson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Sienna Miller, and Gwen Stefani have all been spotted out and about in the last few months, working the look in their own way. Rachel and Sienna used their bags to spice up cool-yet-casual outfits, Rosie opted to use hers as a beach bag, while Gwen used hers as an everyday tote. Whichever way you work the look, the result is clear: these bags add an effortlessly cool vibe to every ensemble. If you are ready to try this trend for yourself, consider these options: Free People’s Hacienda Bag ($78), ASOS’s Multi Stripe Woven Holdall ($64.63), and American Eagle’s Ikat Slouchy Hobo Bag ($24.50).

Cut Out Dresses

banner Mini Trend: Cut Out Dresses
The red carpet is no stranger to skin-baring dresses—we all remember Jennifer Lopez’s daring green Versace gown—but lately we have noticed a mini-trend sweeping the celebrity circuit. Stars like Selena Gomez, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Halle Berry, and Chloe Sevigny have all been spotted on the red carpet in dresses with bold cut out panels. Selena wore a sexy Dolce & Gabbana gown to the 2011 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas earlier this month, Rosie showed off her back in a Max Mara gown at the 2011 Maxim Hot 100 Party in Hollywood, Halle wore a revealing Halston dress to the 2011 FiFi Awards in New York City, and Chloe wore a lace cut-out dress from Opening Ceremony for an event in New York City. If you like this mini trend, there are plenty of options on the market; we particularly like ASOS’s Cut Out Dress ($59.09) and Naven’s Cut Out Dress ($264). So, do you plan to try this mini trend? banner

70s Fashion

70’s fashion was an eclectic mix of things that were both modern as well as long forgotten.
On the one hand it was the decade of disco and everything that came with it. Strobe lights, polyester and platform shoes.
It also closely followed the flower power 60’s from where it would draw a large amount of inspiration through the hippy inspired fashion and ethnic influences.

And at the same time it got a lot of influences from nostalgia for the decades past, the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s and even for the Edwardian era.
It was the decade when women truly started being empowered and they demonstrated this by wearing a varied mix of styles and colors, and creating the midi and maxi skirt for occasions when the mini skirt or hot pants weren’t exactly ideal.
Long hair continued to be fashionable for both men and women, and the decade saw the rise in popularity of jeans, and they’ve never faltered since. Bell bottoms and platform shoes were the main stay for most of the decade, but at the same time the 70’s saw the rise in popularity of trainer and running shoes, and bell bottoms started to narrow towards their normal dimensions towards the end of the decade. This period is certainly an era which has not been forgotten banner
